THE CAPTAIN'S CALLING - EPISODE 43: ENTER HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2025

Sorry for being late, my picture maker did not work.

Ahoy, crew! 🏴‍☠️ Today the Cooper family is at church for a special **Thanksgiving service**. Jeremy is preaching from **Psalm 100:4 – “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”** The sanctuary is packed, decorated with autumn colors and harvest symbols as people lift their voices in praise.

Jennifer, William, Diamond, and Grandmother Cathy sit in the front row as Jeremy preaches that **thanksgiving is more than a meal**—it’s a heart of worship. After service, the church family shares lunch together, everyone bringing a dish and thanking God for His goodness.

Then it’s time for another journey. The family drives to the storage unit in Jeremy’s red Ford F150 with boxes to unload. Inside, William hits the round colored switch. **Cosmic lights swirl**, biblical scenes of worship appear, and the family floats into the air as they transform into their pirate attire. The storage door opens to reveal the **cross‑shaped dock** and **SALVATION’S JOURNEY** waiting.

They walk up the wooden gangway, and Jesus welcomes them at the helm. Salvation’s Journey rises into a **cosmic warp zone** and lands at the **temple of Solomon** during a national day of thanksgiving. Priests and people shout, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His love endures forever!” The family watches worship in victory, in struggle, and in peace. Jesus teaches them that **thanksgiving is the gateway to His presence** and that true worship is a **life of gratitude**, especially when things are hard.

Back on the ship, the Pirate Captain gives the **Captain’s Challenge**: This week, find a way to worship that goes beyond music—let your entire life be an act of thanksgiving. The family holds the **ring of thorns** and prays the **Captain’s Prayer**, asking Jesus to teach them to worship in spirit and truth. Salvation’s Journey glides back through the warp zone, returning the family home with hearts full of praise.

The Captain's Calling - Episode 41: David and Mephibosheth November 5th 2025

Ahoy, crew! 🏴‍☠️ The Cooper family volunteers at a local community center, helping children with disabilities learn new skills. Grandmother Cathy assists a young boy with a craft project while Jennifer and Diamond watch. Every person has unique gifts. Sometimes kindness changes everything. Before heading home, the family drives to their storage unit in Jeremy's red Ford F150. Diamond hits the switch. Cosmic lights swirl. Biblical scenes materialize. The family floats up and Jeremy transforms into his pirate captain's uniform. They land on SALVATION'S JOURNEY, where Jesus is waiting.
Jesus takes them back to ancient Israel to witness King David's incredible act of compassion. David asks, "Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan's sake?" A servant named Ziba tells him about Mephibosheth—Jonathan's son, crippled in both feet since childhood. When his nurse dropped him while fleeing, he became lame. Mephibosheth lived in poverty, forgotten, believing himself worthless—a "dead dog." But David didn't see a crippled man. He saw Jonathan's son. He saw VALUE.
David restores ALL of Saul's land to Mephibosheth and gives him a permanent place at the royal table—treating him as his own son. This wasn't charity. This was RESTORATION. This was HONOR. This was God's kindness in action. The Cooper family witnesses how compassion sees beyond limitations, how mercy transforms lives, and how every person—regardless of ability—has immeasurable worth in God's eyes.
Back on the ship, the Pirate Captain delivers the challenge: Look for someone who feels overlooked or forgotten. Show them unexpected kindness that reflects God's love. The family forms a circle and prays for eyes to see people as Jesus sees them—valuable, loved, and worthy of restoration. This is the power of divine compassion. This is the power of unexpected grace.
